The MRM School of Construction will connect students with local and lucrative construction jobs that are currently in high demand around eastern North Carolina. Throughout the program students will be introduced to the construction industry, trained in how to become successful in this field of work, and given opportunities to network with local construction companies. The mission of the program is to provide real-world construction knowledge that can help students explore and immediately begin a career in construction. The MRM School of Construction aims to connect each successful student with a paid apprenticeship at a local construction company by the end of the semester-long program.
Students will receive straightforward, quality instruction from Ray Macleod, owner of MRM Construction. Ray is a local, reputable business owner and licensed residential and commercial contractor with over 20 years of experience. He started MRM from scratch and has built it into what it is today. Additionally, Ray has a vast wealth of experience and knowledge and has pretty much been a straight A student in the gifted programs from high school, to his BS is Biology, to his Masters in Science Education, and his training to gain a certificate in plumbing, electrical, and HVAC. Ray is passionate about developing quality construction professionals for eastern North Carolina.
